I have just received my copy of Contagious Magazine issue 23, i have another editorial illustration in this issue accompanying an interview with Brett Ratner. Big thanks to Dean Dorat at the magazine, it's not too often that magazines use the same illustrator 2 issues on the trot.

I've been playing around with Photoshop CS5s new 3D text software lately and it's actually quite decent as a result i put together this illustration based around the theme of recycling - if you don't recycle then you should!.

1st June 2010 .PSD MAGAZINE TUTORIAL, COVER AND FEATURE
Last week i also received some copies of the latest issue of the French .PSD Magazine, i have a 12 page tutorial giving you a step by step guide on how to create the cover illustration. The photograph used for the tutorial was taken by Sarah Monrose (glowphotography.co.uk). I also have an interview and feature in the back of the magazine. Big thanks to Magdalena who made this happen.
1st June 2010 URBAN RACER FAN GUIDE
Last week i finally received some copies of the Urban Racer fan guide that i designed the cover for. Its taken about 4 weeks for this to arrive from the states! This job was a collaboration with photographer and designer Clint Davis from LA.
28th May 2010 EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL EXHIBITION
I am very pleased to anounce that i will be exhibiting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, 9 pieces of my work will be hanging in the Digital Design Gallery from 9th - 27th August. A big thankyou to Colin from the gallery for making this happen and taking care of everything. Below are the pieces that i shall be exhibiting, more updates coming soon.
19th May 2010 JAGO'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!
I can't believe it's here already but last weekend was my son's first birthday, we took him to the local farm which he absolutely loved. The entire house was taken up by huuge inflatable toys for the weekend.
19th May 2010 CANON HD CAMERA
I have just bought myself a Canon Legria HF S100 HD video camera, Opteka Death Lens and a new G-RAID 2 Terrabyte hard drive to deal with all the HD footage. I love skateboarding and have always wanted to make a skate movie so this is the inention behind the purchase. Below is a link to my first ever little edit in Final Cut Pro. I love doing the editing, im hoping that with my illustration skills i'll be able to do some amazing stuff with the videos, once ive learnt all the software that is.
6th April 2010 CONTAGIOUS MAGAZINE
My copy of Contagious Magazine arrived yesterday, i recently produced an illustration for the magazine to run alongside a feature article and interview with Jaron Lanier. They could only send me 1 copy of the mag as it is so expensive and i can see why. Its a beauty, a real coffee table magazine. Checkout my work section for a clearer look at the illustration.
31st March 2010 PITCH WORK
Ive been away snowboarding hence ther lack of posts but am back now in one piece. I have a lot of new work that i will be posting soon, im just waiting for a few of the publications to reach me so i can take some pictures. In the meantime below are a couple of pitches that ive worked on recently. Pitch work as in these cases is often very rough. The 2 examples below were for a new Samsung campaign (Chiel Agency) and a new Cadburys Flake TV commercial (AvantGarde). Im still waiting to hear back from both.
26th February 2010 THE FELLOWSHIP BOOK
Designer and Illustrator Linton Rogers recently asked me to contribute to a book he was putting together in aid of his brother who was recently diagnosed with Crohns Disease. The book is now for sale with a minimum donation of £5. Visit the link below to purchase a copy. The book has been featured alongside an interview with Linton in this months Advanced Photoshop. 18th January 2010 A RATHER LATE HAPPY XMAS AND NEW YEAR
Well happy 2010 to everyone and i hope you all had a good christmas. Ive been away for the holiday period and am also in the process of moving house hence the lack of posts. There's plenty of projects on the go and ill be doing a work upload very soon with some new stuff. Ive just received photos from the 60th anniversary Snoopy celebrations in Hong Kong where my customized Snoopy model took centre stage. The model will be auctioned off and all the proceeds donated to charity.
